Bull Market Screener
In this step, we begin using the Screener inside the OVTLYR platform. Now that you’ve identified which sectors are bullish (from the previous step), you're ready to scan for specific stocks that meet your criteria for a potential trade.
What You Do
1. Go to the Screener Inside OVTLYR
Open the Screener section of the platform.
2. Set Up the Bullish Screener Criteria
Apply the following filters:
○ Sector Filter: Only include sectors that are bullish (from your breadth scan in 3.3).
○ Backtest: Must show a positive backtest result.
○ Volume: Stocks must have an average daily volume greater than 1 million shares.
○ Signal: Must have an active Buy Signal.
○ Market Cap: Only include stocks with a market cap greater than $20.
○ Heat Map:
▪ Heat Map value must be between 0 to 90.
▪ The Heat Map must be moving up (improving fear/greed sentiment).
○ Chart Overlay:
▪ The chart must show a green overlay indicating:
▫ 10 EMA > 20 EMA
▫ Price > 50 EMA
3. Save the Screener as a Template
Once all your criteria are entered, go to the Screeners tab and save it as a screener. This lets you reuse it anytime
without reapplying the filters.
This screener setup aligns everything in your favor: sector strength, historical performance, volume, sentiment, and technical overlays. Now you're ready to identify potential trades with confidence using your saved screener.
