This section covers the core mindset behind exits. The focus is not on predicting outcomes, but on following exit signals with zero expectations.
● No expectations for the outcome of any trade
● No profit targets
● Exit when one of the exit signals happens
● Don’t take a trade expecting it to go to $1,000 a share
→ That’s unrealistic
→ No one knows how far a trade will go
→ That’s why profit targets aren’t used
● The only goal is to have a plan to get out when the signal says so
Only four outcomes are possible:
- Big win
- Small win
- Break even
- Small loss
● These outcomes can’t be quantified ahead of time.
● The size of each outcome will vary from trade to trade.
